this is song that came out of a batch i was writing for a band called Spybox. its really dreary but i love this song. It was recorded years ago. if i had to guess i would say 2011-12.

Jarred Forester-recorded it, and sang some.

sitting at the back of the house, minding my own business, watching the evening news. there came a knock on the door. well, somebody better be desperate, or they are going to lose something that they know they got. the wind blows cold the souls are hot something that they know they got. staring in to midnight rain wishing there was someone staring back at me, there came a knock on the door, but the door was already open i guess i opened it for me. showing what i know i knew, blazing flowers, blossoms bloom, and being what i knew i'd do, the roots have spread and the love grew. when will i know that i chase away what i wanted to stick around and play? maybe before the son is big enough for forgetting what i taught myself to say.
