"Brown box of horrors" is the affectionate nickname an old co-worker of mine had for the cafe we worked at together. This piece is made up of the espresso machine, grinder, entrance light, cash register - all doctored up with creepy FX and ghoulish dubstep.

Would you ever live in a windowless room? Two dwellers of the same building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn reflect on what it’s like to live in a bedroom without direct sunlight. This piece was produced as part of The 24-Hour Radio Race from KCRW's Independent Producer Project. The theme this year was:
