Kendrick Lamar will bring his visionary albums to life on the Drai's stage for an all-night celebration. Past Drai's Club performers have included the likes of Future, Trey Songz, Jeremih, Tip (T.I.) and more. Future will also make his return to the nightclub for a special performance on Friday, Dec. 30.

Lamar is also featured on A Tribe Called Quest's newest album, We Got It From Here, Thank You for Your Service and is set to take the stage at the American Music Awards with Maroon 5 for a performance of "Don't Wanna Know."

Congrats are in order for the Internet’s newest rising talent Ugly God. The Houston-hailing rapper’s viral single “Water” has just entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The lo-fi track made its debut onto the chart this week (Jan. 9) at No. 100.
Ugly God first uploaded the track to SoundCloud nine months ago and then shared a funny visual (seen above) to accompany it. The video, which features the 20-year-old rapper hopping on a boat and cruising the waves with some girls, is currently at 20 million plays on YouTube. Not bad for a rookie. Ugly God became the first artist under the newly launched Asylum Records last year and his profile has been ascending ever since.
XXL got to know a little more about Ugly God during his interview for The Break. Although he openly compares himself to other rappers like bubblegum rap sensation Lil Yachty in “Water,” the upstart with dreams of computer engineering asserts that he’s not a copycat or a flash in the pan.
“I know I don’t sound like anybody else because people compare me to every single body,” explained Ugly God. “If you have people comparing me to different artists, don’t nobody know what to do because they can’t. I feel like when a new artists comes out the first thing they think is, ‘Who does this sound like,’ and they say all kinds of shit.”

Ugly God’s debut project, dubbed The Booty Tape, is expected to drop this year under Asylum Records. “Even though I just started rapping and producing a year ago, I say I’ve been working on it for eight years because it’s eight years worth of my thoughts and how I feel and my experiences,” he says of the upcoming tape. Oh, and he’s got new music on the way with Lil Yachty and Metro Boomin too.

	Casey B. grew up listening to artists like OutKast, The Wu-Tang Clan, Kanye West, and E-40.  Though he was raised in rural Upstate NY, he always felt a sense of connection with the unity and eccentricity of hip hop.  Inspired by bass-heavy production and witty lyrics, Casey began writing at the age of thirteen.  Feelings of alienation and family issues during high school fueled his passion to scribble eloquent stories over beats.

	After taking a long break from writing Casey decided to give it another shot.  It wasn’t until he attended school in Buffalo, New York that he “officially” began pursuing a career in music.  After finishing his first verse he was addicted to the adrenaline rush of writing and performing.  Soon he began attending various open mics to showcase his talent.   He received recognition at a small club called Buffalo Live.  From there, he developed his craft and eventually recorded his first mixtape Tare in his college apartment.  His crafty metaphors and unique flows helped him gain even more respect and landed him a spot on the lineup at a local dive bar known as Broadway Joe’s.  Casey’s command of the crowd and energetic presence proved the show to be a success. 

	His skills eventually led him to Buffalo native Di-Verze, who signed Casey under the independent label Take Off Entertainment.  Under T.O.E. he booked shows both in and out of Buffalo.  Venues include Schine Hall at Syracuse University, the Montante Cultural Center at Canisius College, and the Vault in downtown Buffalo.  Casey recorded multiple collaborations with Di-Verze and fellow artist Skoob.  Their summer single “Chrysler” gained attention for its smooth southern-style beat, clever lyrics, and memorable hook.

	Currently, Casey is working on his sophomore project, The Waight.  It is the second of the three-part project titled The Balance.
