A Canadian man named Lanny Dumbauld contacted me after hearing "Remember" and wanted me to transcribe a piano piece he wrote.  I got a MIDI file of it from him in an email.  I transcribed it into Sibelius, rearranged it slightly, and recorded it on piano.

Tell me in a whisper

Radiohead released the stems of their song "Nude" off of "In Rainbows".  I took the individual lines and used orchestral instruments to mimic them.  Then I threw a few filters on Thom's voice at the end and AutoTuned it, while shifting the pitch, to create a modal guitar sounding ending.  What's left is Thom, my instruments, and the original bleeps and bloops.

Casey Cook is a dynamic musician, moving fluently between the fields of conducting, composition, and vocal performance.  He maintains a busy schedule as the director of the American University Chorus, where he also serves as musician in residence, and as the founder and artistic director of Artifice, a choral ensemble in Washington, DC dedicated to help explore the next generation of choral music by encouraging new and experimental choral works and performance techniques.  He also sings in the professional-core of the Cathedral Choral Society at Washington National Cathedral.  

Casey was awarded a doctor of musical arts in choral conducting from the University of Arizona for his research into the compositional completion of Gerald Finzi’s Requiem da Camera.  He also holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Miami University, and a master’s degree in choral conducting from the University of South Florida.

Casey’s compositional endeavors have brought him acclaim from around the country as well. He was named the 2006 composer-in-residence at the Arizona Science Center, which launched an award-winning compositional career that has seen performances throughout the southwest, including a commission for the dedication of the largest pipe organ in Arizona.
