This new EP was born during a trip to Brazil, where Entrañas (Dani) stayed with Kontronatura (Achille) and his cats. That warmth and hospitality inspired a project that, despite its dark tones and deep bass, carries a sense of affection — a nod to the friendliness of Brazilians, especially Achille.

Brazil’s vibrant identity and rich Latin electronic scene stood in stark contrast to Ecuador, where such a movement doesn’t exist. For Entrañas, embracing Ecuadorian roots is an act of resistance against cultural erasure from the US. Musically, the EP blends baile funk, techno, and bass, with “Eris” adding Ecuadorian bomba and tribal rhythms — a delight for fans of 6/8 and triplets.

Both artists are no strangers to the label’s catalog: Entrañas previously appeared on the Amor Na Endz 3 compilation and on Nadī & Otus’s Less Talk/ More Talk remix EP, while Kontronatura featured with a remix on Obeka’s Temple Drum EP.

This release is not only a celebration for the artists but also for the label, once again born from long-distance support and mutual appreciation.

Was it just me or OMAAR's 'Progressive Tribes' was one of the standout tracks of the previous decade? Fusing the raw intensity of hard drum with Mexican producer's percussive finesse, it certainly hit all the right notes to be a DJs' favourite club tool. Years went by and OMAAR kept on delivering the rumbling goodies, regularly enriching the catalogue of NAAFI with his trademark sound.
