Disbelief / Backbone (Part 1 WIP)

was scrolling through instagram reels and some random account with the balls that make sound when they bounce off walls popped up and it was playing dark darker yet darker, so i got inspired and cranked this out in 5 hours.

as i was making it i was trying to think of where it would play if it ever did in deltarune, and i was thinking in chapter 7 you could choose to side with or against gaster for some reason. this would play if you are against him i guess lol

shadowmen lore for five crowns is theyre what happens when you go to a dark world at night, as in the literal darkness from it being nighttime manifests into forces of evil. seam warns you about it in ch1 especially because the shadow darkners there would probably manifest as scary shadow demons that eat you, but for homeworld theyre just the mafia lol

this is the weird route version of the cathode crew boss battle, in the regular route you fight them just before ann and tenna, but in the weird route you fight them early, killing everyone but Uno. he escapes, and you dont see him till just before ann and tenna again. however, the whole area will be pitch black now, and when you reach the end of the hallway, Uno will just be standing there. the reason hes powered up now is because i thought itd be cool if every shadowman is a "shard" of the night, so if you kill all of them they get spread across the others, and because hes the last one he has the power of the 5 cathode crew as well as however many regular shadowgoons you killed.

i originally started this as a test of the atari drums and using mostly synth1, but then i was like huh this is actually kinda good and i was meant to do a battle theme for deltafall anyways so yeah here we are lol.

also if it sounds like five crowns mike youre schizophrenic and i definitely wasnt making it as a mike battle theme originally (fact checked by true american patriots)

when did i hit 300 lmfao

its kinda nuts that undertale has been around for a decade lol

ive been a fan since i was a just a little amoeba (11) and its been an amazing experience to watch the community grow and evolve over that time. ive met some very cool people through this game and i found my creative bones through it. without undertale i never wouldve made music or gotten into making games, so thank you toby fox and all the people ive met along the way for a worthwhile decade teehee :)

anyways i hope you all enjoy this track, i thought itd be cool to honour the 10th birthday with a cool little medley of some of my most popular songs wrapped up in a finale shell (kind of a weird idea i know, i just really like finale and couldnt make a regular cover sound good)
