Miami Dice

Cason has been playing music since he was a child. His parents were both musicians and led ministry in church. Starting with guitar and percussion, his teenage years were spent writing and performing music ranging from rock and roll, classical, and experimental music.   

 

His first introduction to electronic music was in the 90’s and he was influenced by artists such as: The Future Sound of London, Fat Boy Slim, Goldie, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Deep Dish, Dj Shadow, Dj Dan, Mark Farina, Gene Farris, Bob Sinclair, Danny Tenaglia, Basement Jaxx, and Daft Punk. He was hooked on the music and started mixing vinyl in the year 1999 and performing at nightclubs all over the Bay Area and Sacramento. Cason was a regular DJ at the legendary Remedy party at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco and had many other residencies in the area. He was signed with Devoted Artists and Wet Music and is a main member of the Housemen and Soul Camp Crew. He has performed alongside artists such as Doc Martin, Dj Dan, Mark Farina, BB Hayes, Miguel Migs, Sunshine Jones, Morgan Page, Kaskade, and many more.

 

His performing style and music production taste are all over the spectrum with elements of disco, deep house, soul, minimal techno, funk, world music, and downtempo. He also writes rock music and produces hip hop. Most of his time is spent in the studio creating music in recent years with plans of learning and evolving further into his passion and love for music as a true artist.
