The goal was to create a warm space with evolving textures and timbres that is partly automated and partly performed. Pam’s Pro Workout (a clocked modulation source) is plucking my Rings clone (a resonator…it works a lot like an oscillator) into my Clouds clone (a granular processor) to create the fast plucking “tonal dripping” sound which pans in the centre 45degrees. Over that I’ve placed a polyrhythmic synth pad using my Subharmonicon and the occasional angry DFAM stabs. Im using the Ambient 0 for processing the tonal plucking and adding additional pads and panning effects. Additional percussion, filtering and compression from the TR8S. Additional effects (delay/reverb/pan) from Space FX module and Flow8 mixing console.

A basic euro-based (Ambient 0 and BSP sequencing) techno track with some (unfortunately) very obvious switch sounds from my rack. Oh well.

This is a pretty good example of the sort of thing I build when improving a whole track.

I have empty “live improv” programs on the 0 and the BSP. This makes it so I can select those programs and just groove and create whenever I want rather than having to start everything from scratch.

Sorry for the noise at the top. Gonna look into that 🫤.
