Born on Nov 5 1946, Loleatta left us March 21 2011.
She was the quintessential Disco Diva. She had Izora Armstead and Martha Wash (AKA Two Tons Of Fun, Sylvester's backing vocalists) left and right of a podium of which she  held the number one spot.
We will forever feel "Stronger Together" with her "Love Sensation"
"...and time won't take our love awaaaaaaaaaaaay"

Claude Nougaro, a crooner with a highly respected jazz background, went to New York in the 80s and captured the sound that was then beating the heart of the city. Mixing his trademark French chanson rhymes, with bonafide electronic Freestyle sounds, he created something totally unique, and of his own. Nougayork went surprisingly massive, and became his biggest success in France.

I did this remix before Michael passed away so I could play it in my sets. Thanks to Frankie Knuckles who heard it and passed it to Motown chief-exec' it came out in fall 2010. Unfortunately it was only available in some countries iTunes stores and on the UK pressing of the MJ remix suite CD

Sister Sledge - Thinking Of You  (Dimitri From Paris Remix) (Snippet)

Here comes another snippet from a Chic song I remixed for the CHIC Org Box Set. From the 1982 Tongue In Chic LP this song wasn't widely released as a single. I chose it because it featured all of the CHIC V. 2.0 sound that would then form the basis of the soon to come Nile and Bernard productions for artists like David Bowie or Duran Duran. The NYC Dubby feel was already there in the recording, I just emphasized it with only extra effects and no added production.
