As someone that use to self harm, it’s apparent where the scars are and some might see them and be quick to judge. I was fortunate enough to find friends that don’t
box me into any category. The right people/ person will love you as you are, and love you regardless of the things that’s happened to you.

It feels like a dream when you’ve found the person that never judges you, always lifts you up, picks up the phone at 6am because you’re way too drunk and feel like you’re dying and they Uber you over despite it being way too early in the morning. Buys you care packages when you’re sick/ on your period, simply goes above and beyond for you. I’m lucky that this happens to be my childhood best friend. So in this case, it does feel a little bit like fate.

What’s been really important for me is someone that doesn’t feel like they need to hide me. It’s not a situationship, it’s not a fling, they’re not embarrassed to show you off, they’re not controlling what you wear or what you post on social media. They love you, openly, and they’re not trippen over who sees.
