In the song ‘What is Love’ Cassius aims to help a close friend deal with the loss of his cousin. In the first verse Cassius raps through the perspective of his friend (Big Bro); he gives his initial reaction as he finds out the loss of his cousin. In that same morning Cassius finds out the same news. In the second verse Cassius tells a story about his concern for his friend as he finds out the same news.

In the end Cassius has a monologue type of long speech about his love for his friend. He aims to let him known man to man he always has his back, whether his words reaches his friend or not he still feels it’s important for him to know.

The intent of this song is display the importance of brotherly love. Being your brothers keeper is something that is heavily lacked in the black community. Being accountable for one another can save lives mentally or physically. Don’t just stand around and wait for the change, be the #MenAboutChange.

What is Love

“Caught a Body” is Cassius Tae's fourth release in preparation for his debut project New Beginnings dropping March 10th. In “Caught a Body,” Cassius Tae depicts a struggle many know to well: having sex with a random person to relieve the frustration from dealing with an ex. After recognizing how meaningless the sex is, he pleads for his ex to take him back. Although his ex takes him back, throughout the process Cassius Tae has inadvertently caught another body.
