Hey everyone.

It's been a while, hasn't it? Remember when I said you shouldn't expect more Undertale content from me? Well, you may color yourself surprised. Don't expect more again, this is one thing that I decided to do half jokingly until I put my hands to work.

For some context, before I "left" the community, since around 2019 or 2020, I've been deeply enamored with Periphery. It has gotten to the point that I can probably tell you the name of any Periphery song you play in front of me without hints, and if I can't, I can assure you it is from the Icarus Lives EP (which I should actually more attentively listen to). Periphery V was the first album I was hyped up to listen to in my entire life, and when it dropped I listened to it so much that I got bored of it for a while.

Imagine my surprise when I found a Megalovania project based on the newest album of my all-time favorite band.

The first song I found from https://soundcloud.com/dr-samuel-hayden's project was the Misfortune cover. Initially I found it interesting, but the more I listened to it, the more it's flaws started to ooze out, as if it was overflowing with a sticky and slimy substance.

Reading the comments of that track, I found others agreed, however, were not healthy in how they expressed their dissatisfaction with it. I then decided to make this song as to show how I would do it instead, somewhat "fixing" the issues with the original song.

Something important too, is to point out the issues with the original, in a constructive way, as to help each other grow, and this is what I mainly am caring so much about this description for, making it look presentable and readable. I may no longer be around, but that does not mean I want others to fail. In the end, what unites us all is our passion for music, and it is far more healthy to continue to build each other up than to tear one another down.

I wrote it all here in the description of this track only to find out SoundCloud has a 4000 character limit, so i put my ramblings into a google doc besides the FLP and the MP3 file.

Thank you for listening, and for reading through this. This song is the culmination of a long time of my own betterment, trying to achieve new heights, not being limited to a song from a game nearing its 9th birthday in a couple of months. I owe to this community and to my friends the quality and improvement I see in my own projects, and without this silly little song from a 2015 game,  I do believe i would not have reached these heights. Thank you to everyone involved in my growth. As a person. As a musician. But most importantly, as an artist.

Here's a little preview of the phase 1 of the new final encounter. I decided to take a different approach with this track, starting with the fact that we all mutually agreed it'd be funny if we also swapped the usual trope of dusttrust, aka that Sans is weaker in the first phases but gets progressively stronger until it leads to a SitS-esque final fight. We wanted  it to be the exact opposite, Phase 1 is where he's the strongest, and he gets progressively weaker and weaker across the phases. You might not understand what "THE HELMET" is, but it's a major plot point in both the story of my Underswap take and Distrust with Dust's. you won't see this track until the rest of the ost is done, so enjoy this.
