Canada's prime minister Justin Trudeau says had he known how things would play out over the SNC Lavalin affair, he quote "could have, should have, would have" done things differently.  That was the controversy where Mr Trudeau’s Liberal government was accused of trying to shield the big Quebec based industrial group from criminal prosecution for bribery and corruption. It all ended in December with the company pleading guilty and paying $280m Canadian (US $214m) in a deal but not before a major political scandal which was partly responsible for Trudeau’s government losing its majority in 2019's federal election. Jatinder Sidhu spoke to former Attorney General, Jody Wilson-Raybould, who was at the centre of the row, in Vancouver.
