Cititrax proudly presents a new project called An-i, the latest musical moniker for Berlin based former New Yorker Doug Lee. Doug has been DJing and producing records for the last decade under various aliases and collaborations. The Kino-i EP will be the debut release and home for An-i, a showcase of his love affair with machines. It fronts a hard hitting sound beyond category, moving from techno to jack to punk and to noise. It suggests an anything goes attitude perhaps dictated more by the will of machines themselves then any author. The record is pressed on 160 gram fluorescent yellow vinyl and housed in a high gloss black and white sleeve. Note: US release accompanied by full b+w newsprint poster.

Experimenting with a new hybrid Modular DJ setup which sees him effortlessly fuse live analogue modular synthesis and with traditional DJ sets. Regularly playing clubs such as DC10, Rex and from South America to Tokyo while releasing music on labels such as @kaoztheory, @no19music, Holic, @yoyaku and his own Abstract Architecture. Satoshi is as relevant as ever and continues to make waves throughout the electronic music community as only he knows how.

Watching Cassy eagerly dive into her record collection is a joy. Away from the transcendent spaces she continues to play at most weekends, her vinyl-digging series Talking About My Records on Instagram gives ample opportunity to engage with her endearing excitability. Its concept being spurred by moving back home to Austria and reconnecting with a stacked vinyl stash, you can feel the buzz gained from rediscovering lost gems and rinsed B-sides. Keen to share this experience with whoever’s watching, what makes this series stand out is the sense that Cassy’s enthusiasm and faithfulness to the music that fuels club culture has been revived.
