Hailing from a rolling sea of rock influences, Cast Into Ruin washed ashore in 2013 with an experimental sound that aspires to follow footsteps of their heroes in the legendary styles they've always loved. From Nine Inch Nails to Pink Floyd to Nirvana, from Black Sabbath to Metallica to Primus, and from scores of others to even more, Cast Into Ruin's love of music in general has enabled them to simply roll with whatever moved them. 

Meaning for it to be a hobby in between production jobs working in the Connecticut film industry, novelist Peter Scythe started Cast Into Ruin on March of 2013 after writing his first song on an ancient laptop. By fall of that year, Peter started collaborating occasionally with his cousin Jim Pierce and since has recorded well over 200 songs!
