From Rio to the world. Castello grew up in a monastery surrounded by unconventional influences that turned him into a sensitive artist. 
Now Castello joins Selina/SIMS at his new journey to present a beautiful video recorded at MECAInhotim and his full live act.

Brazilian singer and songwriter Castello performs his live that consists of electronic productions from his last three acoustic albums, with singles made in collaboration with Nicola Cruz (Criançada) and Oceanvs Orientalis (Santa Teresa) also reinterpreted in his own version.

A Macaca - Oscilação Premenstrual (db 236)

Once upon a time, there was a 13 ­ year old boy who fell in love at first sight with an old Brazilian violao. That boy was Salvador Araguaya, Urban Cosmonaut Radio podcaster #13 in our trip through the musicverse. 
His first guitar triggered a lifelong musical adventure, spending 7 years exploring different genres, playing in many bands and nurturing a love for ancestral black music of northeastern Brazil. Inevitably, he was enchanted by Voodoohop’s fusion of electronic and Brazilian sounds 
and eventually started making music in the beginning of 2015. 
Since then, Salvador Araguaya has moved and swayed the dancefloors with his DJ sets at many Sonido Tropico (@sonidotropico) parties. His recent own productions ­ like “Cotovelo de Serra” on Caballito have given us a glimpse of the start of his musical evolution. His own tracks are infused with digital cumbia elements and traces of folk and ethnic deep house ­ like in “Mora na Filosofia (Caetano Veloso)” ­as well as in this mixtape that you’re about to hear. 
Once upon a time, there was an Urban Cosmonaut who guided us on our Hitchhike Through the Galaxy. And we all lived happily ever after. <3

I recorded this mix during a difficult and kinda hopeless moment in Brazil when the only thing holding us artists in focus is the potency of brazilian culture and music. This mixed feeling is printed in this mix. It starts really dreamy with Pedro Sorongo´s classic "Desengano da Vista" tunes and slowly grows into a heavier perspective of brazilian rythms, like a glimpse of the distopic Brazil 2020 we live in. Salvador Araguaya é o projeto do paulista Francisco Loureiro que mescla batidas eletrônicas com a musicalidade regional e universal brasileira. Filho do coletivo Sonido Trópico, onde foi DJ residente por 4 anos, Araguaya excursionou a Europa e o Oriente Médio com a família Sonido em 2016 e 2017. Nesse tempo lançou sets e tracks por gravadoras do Brasil e do mundo, como Tropical Twista Records (BR), THE MAGIC MOVEMENT (ALE), Caballito (ESP), Southern Fried Records (UK) e Hawaii Bonsai Records (SUI).
