'Cast Glass EP' is self-released as a limited edition of 250 pcs of a beautiful 24 pages digibook. Hand numbered and wrapped up in a hand painted wrapper.

Cast Glass' debut 'Cast Glass EP' (set for release 15. Sept 2014) is a collection of songs from 2011-2013 performed by a twelve-piece ensemble. The record resulted from a production process spanning that period, starting from arrangements of their songs for string-quartet and woodwinds. Produced and reworked by Marc Alberto into intricate concrete-like collages of live acoustic performances, quirky sounds and analog electronics. The dense production and orchestration does not serve technical display, it creates a stand-alone sound world that allows for new discoveries every re-listen. The child-like lyrics sung with soft vocal delivery that lights and opens up this world with a note of playfulness.

The cinematic 'crossover' music of Cast Glass is the brainchild of Dutch/German composers  Marco Mlynek & Marc Alberto. With their small orchestra of live electronic  and orchestral instruments, Cast Glass builds musical worlds full of secrets to be discovered. Alberto & Mlyneks musical language is hard to grasp in clunky terms like “fusion”: their roots in Minimal, neo-classical, electronica, jazz, hip-hop and improv are fluently cast into a new shape. Might seem complicated, but it's not – all tracks are infectious pop-songs at heart.
