For the eight edition of their label catalogue, [selected] puts the focus on their residents again. The Berlin based duo Lyric are in charge of this one, putting hypnotizing loops and tantalizing rhythms as their main focus.
As it should be, the EP starts out with its „Introduction”. It is plain and simple – no playing around, straight to the point techno without unwanted attitude or makeup. Sounds creeping in and out, searching for their roots and restlessly evolving by any means necessary.
Only the universe is „Eternal”. The mesmerizing scapes and slashes that build the composition construct a feeling of endless enchantment, while leaving no room for doubts that this is – indeed – eternal.
„Neologism” digs deeper and explores the greater realms of the genre. Soft keys dangle over ones head like an asymmetric pendulum – drooling you in, putting you in a transcendent state where everything is nothing and no limits seem to exist.
While still in trance, „Hemisphere” puts a spin on the record’s atmosphere. The mind boggling loop character is still very present, the odd chord progression puts an unexpected twist on it. Almost nightmare-ish, the elements gather and layer around you like a snake that has just shed its skin.
For the finale A.Morgan puts his spin on „Hemisphere”. The chords get more stabby, a range of belly, clinching percussion are eager to express themselves, tumbling through spheres of light and darkness.

The Lady Machine readies her debut ‘Magnify EP’ for Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver this December. Pornceptual resident The Lady Machine has recently appeared on her Unterwegs Records label, on compilations via Ben Sims’ Symbolism and Token, as well as on incendiary mixes for FJAAK’s Spandau20 and Bassiani. Active as a vinyl DJ for over 20 years, the Brazilian-born, Berlin-based DJ/producer prepares her first release for Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver with ‘Magnify EP’ this December. Leading the release is the titular ‘Magnify’, combining dense arpeggios with heaving kicks and sizzling percussion, the track looks straight to the dancefloor with a no-nonsense, club-focused arrangement. ‘Concentrate’ follows suit, with The Lady Machine drawing for crunching drum rhythms as unruly mechanic samples run wild throughout. On the flip, ‘Amplify’ brings together hypnotic synths over a rumbling 4/4 for a trippy affair before ‘Collide’ closes out the release with a heavy and rolling cut destined for dark rooms and late nights. Cementing her status as one of the most exciting acts in techno in recent years, her ‘Magnify EP’ for Mote-Evolver is a triumphant display of The Lady Machine’s production talents. The Lady Machine’s ‘Magnify EP’ drops 3rd December on Mote-Evolver.

The day has come to finally release the very first vinyl record of Autonome, including 4 killer tracks by already established and promising upcoming talents.

On the A side, Hiss aka Rove Ranger strikes first with a floating, hypnotic journey full of tension and rhythm. Right after, Cirkle provides an old-school reminiscent, raw driving weapon, embodying the pure techno fundamentals.

The B side welcomes a longstanding pillar of the scene, who pushes the boundaries of music and support as no one before him. Setaoc Mass gladly contributed with one of his signature mechanical club lesson. 
Yant wraps it up with his trademark storm of soundscapes and rumbling drums. Definitely one of the strongest rising artist of the past years that brilliantly concludes the VA.

Massive thank you to Setaoc Mass, Yant, Hiss and Cirkle for their great collaboration. We hope you enjoy this 12" as we do, because it surely won't be the last.
