"On the first date with my partner they kept telling me about how they wished they could visit “home”. For them home was Phoenix, Arizona. I thought was deeply moving since they had been living in Chicago for 5 years at that point, yet still saw Arizona as “home”. It got me thinking about what “home” truly is and what it meant to me. Eventually, I think I figured it out. 

For me there is nothing more fun than a DIY punk show. The energy, the comradery, the art, the music, all of it sends shivers up my spine. I can’t express how much I love playing my music for strangers in a foreign place, seeing faces light up, watching punks dance to my acoustic guitar, meeting people, and feeling like I belong.
