Production isn't exactly of platinum quality, since it's recorded on Garage Band with a very shit Macbook Pro microphone.

I was inspired by Mike Oldfield's " Tubular Bells" for this composition - I used a keyboard and it was really difficult for me to keep the rhythm while playing so I'm aware it's a little messy at times, but bear with me, I'll master the piano and keyboard one day. Hope you enjoy it!

After studying Impressionism in music, I wanted to write my own impressionist composition. I was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's famous painting The Starry Night, which it is named after.

I was asked by my music teacher to incorporate a ground bass into my composition. I ended up writing a composition that sort of shows two flutes that talk to one another, for which I used a tenor flute and an alto flute to represent a male and a female flute.

I was unable to record properly but I had to hand this song in the 5th of May and it is currently 12:18AM on the 5th of May and I'm sick. I'll re-record the song with a proper mic, good health and time on my hands in the near future. But here's a taste of my first ever original song!
