This is a musical  adaptation of a poem by Geert de Kockere, sung by Katleen Claessens, Maha Goudman and Elise Vandeputte.

Chocola

This is a track from a project Katleen and I made in cooperation with poet Geert De Kockere, named 'Koetje'. Essentially a musical reworking of his book 'Koetje in de Klaver', containing 20 poems and children's games, we adapted the original melodies by Annemie Van Riel to make 20 short songs in as varied a way as was possible in the time we had available! 

The whole was sold as a metal box containing a unique USB-stick with the songs, and paper cards with the lyrics and games.

Thinking About You (Calvin Harris cover)

This instrumental track was recorded a few years ago, but my mixing has progressed a lot through the years, so I only recently felt it was 'finished'. The lead guitar was improvised over some repeated jazz chords that were played with volume swells on the guitar and a lot of delay and reverb.

Swells

This song was created as part of a school project my girlfriend (Katleen Claessens, vocals), a kindergarten teacher, was working on. We made some songs containing very simple Dutch words to help a Polish boy learn the language. This one was used to learn the names of some fruits, both in singular and plural forms. We're busy making more children's songs, with the goal of making music aimed at children, but not as simplistic or even ugly in form as most popular music aimed at kids (techno beats and prefab melodies anyone?).
