FLeCK is an electronic music producer and DJ, signed on Dread Recordings and Serial Killaz Recordings. Born in Athens, Greece, he started his musical journey in the mid 90’s and today his sound has spread worldwide.

He has collaborated ,written and remixed tunes for artists like Zion Train, Mungo’s HiFi, Ray Keith, Congo Natty, Chopstick Dubplate, Aries, JStar, Soom T, Dj Solo, Dub Pistols, Taiwan MC, Earl 16 and many others.

His music has been released on prestigious record labels around the world such as Scotch Bonnet, Jungle Cakes, Born On Road, Serial Killaz, Dread Recordings, Congo Natty Bass, ODG, Liondub International, Nice Up! and Universal Egg to name a few and counts over 70 releases since 2009.

In 2015, 2016 and 2017 he was nominated as Best Breakthrough Producer and Best Breakthrough DJ at the We Love Jungle Awards.

The influences are coming from a deep experimentation on several analog machines and a variety of music genres, from Anatolian music scales and ethnic recorded instruments to electronic beats and synths blended with a deep trip hop and downtempo style. I feel the need to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the artists that collaborated in this project, taking the music tracks to a place beyond.
“Ethnic Revision” was written, produced and recorded between 2019 and 2022 at various locations of Earth.

Aggelakas - Opos Ksipnoun Oi Erastes (Edit)

I wanted to release these beats for a few very good reasons. Firstly, It’s already been
a decade since this project began and some of these productions were published.
Secondly, these beats still give me the chills and make me nod my head. Thirdly,
there is a story behind the sounds that I got to tell and if I don't, I'll regret it.
This album’s story began ten years ago in Tokyo and Kyoto. I visited record stores
such as “Tower records” in Shibuya. Met some connaisseurs of the traditional
Japanese music at these record stores that helped me out to dig for samples. Still,
remember this guy named Kota and still feel endless gratitude to him, cause without
knowing he set this project off.
The influences come from a deep mix of feelings and a variety of music genres, from
world traditional japanese music to electronic beats and synths, while blending
elements of hip hop, trip hop and bass style.
I tried my best to make them not sound cliché, to convert intangible, fleeting and
intrinsically infinite thoughts into sounds. Didn’t stress about being fair or being
absolutely right. Experimenting with contemporary arrangements, new recordings
and latest ways to use my effects is all this album needed.
There’s more to it than notes on a page and vibrations in the air. The metaphors are
in there, so when you listen to the album just let your feelings peel back the layers. I
am just revealing different tales through virtuous samples, loops, synths and effects
with a pinch of tense in them. Afterall, Bop ma step is a canvas on which you paint
your own interpretation of the artist’s work.
