Spearheading the new wave of electronic music producers coming from the North of England, Patrick Topping has made a name as a prolific producer, securing seven different Beatport number 1s since his debut release in 2013. His accolades also count two DJ Awards for Best Newcomer and Track Of The Season for Forget, as well as DJ Mag’s Best Tune in their Best of British Awards. “Your Mind“ started as a tool mix that was made just for fun after playing the vocal in a b2b set with Paul Ritch at Awakenings. After the tool version was made it got road tested and the reactions were so huge adam & i decided to turn it into a full track. Together we teamed up to add more percussion, snares and a rolling acid line to complete it’s transformation into this massive techno bomb. 100% mayhem alert!

It doesn’t get much bigger than this: Adam Beyer links up with Green Velvet and Drumcode’s outstanding rising star Layton Giordani for a debut collaboration.

Some musical partnerships feel fated. Both fans of one another’s work, for years Adam Beyer and Green Velvet had discussed writing music together. In turn, Beyer’s protégé Layton Giordani had admired the Chicagoan’s work for as long as he could remember. When the 25-year-old found himself playing alongside the green mohawked legend at Belfast’s Shine, the spark and subsequent friendship was immediate. With the links now set in place, it was only a matter of time before the trio’s creative chemistry would manifest musically.

‘Space Date’ was conceived organically and birthed quickly. Propelled by Green Velvet’s trademark vocal hypnotism, the triumvirate combine to craft a pumping intergalactic slice of techno laced in melody that’s highlighted sets by Beyer at Awakenings, Ushuaia and also EDC Vegas when Green Velvet dropped it to a raucous response. The track is complimented by ‘Rome Future’, the product of a year-long series of productions between Beyer and Giordani. Deftly combining crisp drum work, catchy vocal effects and a powerful bassline melody that gives the track an almighty kick, it will be familiar to many who’ve followed their sets over recent months.

A deep magic lures and allures in ‘El Valle De Kadisha’… An ancient Lebanese valley, it’s one of the oldest natural heritage sites in the world. The Aramaeans translate Kadisha to sacred. The ancient Rumaki tribe harnessed a creative force there that they believe came from the cosmos.

The history, mythology, spiritual energy and explainable tales of Kadisha have all inspired and moved millions over the centuries. Argentinian-in-Spain Bodaishin is the latest to embrace its beguiling energy with his debut album on Do Not Sit On The Furniture.

Eight tracks deep: ‘El Valle De Kadisha’ is a celebration of the valley’s most enchanting tales. Capturing the movements of the Rumaki; the paintings they’d decorate the cave with, the voices they’d hear deep within it and the famous tribe of women who pointed the Rumaki directly through the fire and into a deep state of a timelessness, spiritual enlightenment and, eventually, rebirth.
