CatfishSmith is a Sacramento singer songwriter. 

With his guitar and just enough harmonica in the mix, Catfish Smith blends old soul with a new sound. Elements of folk, country, blues and traditional Americana – think Merle Haggard, Blitzen Trapper, Deer Hunter, and Steve Earle…. 

Catfish is old school meets new school – a throwback artist who’s seen his fair share of life’s highs and lows. His opti-pessimistic attitude is reflected in the sounds and stories told through his music. 

From street corners to coffee shops to venues great and small, Catfish is no stranger to the stage and has played with some greats over the years (Black Crows, Bush, Reel Big Fish, and many others). 

California Western, his second album, was two years in the making. “It was an amazing experience – I worked with like-minded artists from all over the world.”
