Sony PCM D100 onboard mics in "wide" stereo config, aimed out into the city, capturing constant low rumble of explosions with occasional near detonations and traffic interludes. This lasted for approximately 6 hours. 

SPL from the low frequencies overloaded the small diaphragms on occasion.

Fireworks are illegal where I live

recording of a western screech owl near brown creek, wa on 9/16/22 ~3:00am pacific. there is significant noise from the nearby creek.  the initial calls are hard right in the stereo field which seems to place the bird quite close but the human-like 'screech' at the end appears to come from a different location, roughly forward of the recorder.
