My arrangement (so far) of Trashin' the Camp from Disney's Tarzan to add to my portfolio for college. It's driving me crazy but I really enjoy it so far!

The finished version of Trashin' the Camp. The drum break could use more work and I'm sure many little things will change before I will actually consider it "finished", but I'm proud of what's here!

I arranged this piece because I was unable to find a marching band version of this song, only percussion. All credit to Disney for this incredibly catchy song!

Trashin' the Camp

In my English class junior year, we read Seductive Poison. We then had to create a project about what had happened with the People's Temple; how it started off an amazing group and started expanding and growing, the move to Guyana, when things started falling apart and Jim Jones started getting paranoid and controlling, the massacre itself as people were slowly dying from the cyanide until the last shot of the gun that Jim Jones uses on himself.

Throughout the entire song you'll hear an underlying rhythm that can represent two different aspects of the story line. It can represent the heartbeat of the group as it gets slower and slower to beat until the cyanide poisoning takes the lives of many. It can also represent the heartbeat of Jim Jones himself as he starts off strong and starts getting more and more paranoid; finally taking his life with a gunshot to the head.

 I had fun working on this project and it was a great challenge for me.

My acapella arrangement of Say Something, I will (hopefully) be recording this soon with a couple of friends so you are able to hear the piece acapella rather than piano and a computerized voice that only sings "ah". It might even be SSA ;D looking forward to it!

The parts change between piano and the voice where I needed the parts held out versus the rhythm played!

Sound of America sent me a CD of last year's performances with my audition paperwork and this song completely blew me away! This is just a little portion of the song but it is amaaazing. I am so honored to be a member of this band next month!

It's been a while since I've posted anything! The first two movements of a new piano composition. (I do believe a third is on the way) My professor is trying to get me to be less predictable/structured/organized about the music I'm creating and really step out of my comfort zone. This is my first go at it. I have a LOOONNNG way to go, but it's turning out pretty alright.

Nineteen years old and striving to be the best musician I can be! I have been a clarinet player for nine years, a bass clarinet player for three years, and singing with choirs/acapella groups for eight years. Outside of those, I have taught myself what I know and take pride in what I'm able to do - I  would LOVE to hear any feedback at all. Thank you <3
