Key Of Blue

I made this "album" for a short project idea that started with some questions.  As a kid, what type of hymn would I have loved??  What would I have loved to sing along with?  What would this mean to me?  Because the things I create and put heart into have to have some kind of intention, I took these ideas and ran with it.  I picked the top 5 hymns that have had an impact on my life, set one verse and one chorus of each one to atmospheric backing tracks, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered, and now here they are!  One thing I love about these is that they are intentionally sparse, so they make me think of just the words and what they mean.  The other thing I love about them is that they are so open, you could harmonize with them FOREVER. I mean, the layering potential is crazy.  Hope you love them as much as I do!  Have some fun with them!

A song hub night held at Parachute studios on July 2th 2024. Curated by none other the bro Melo Downz. He invited over some of Aotearoa’s uprising and developed talents such as Juana, Spdrtwnbby, Hari, Hales, Ash Harris, Brandn Shiraz, and many more to have a jam in several different booths for the sake of not only creating a banger given the 5 hours handed to us; but to also network, connect, and learn new skills & vibe tf out with other likeminds. A once in a blue moon event.

Me and Shamz got given the opportunity to jam in booth 11 alongside Dusty, Ghos, two of the most highly respected producers in Aotearoa and John Garcia who was our outstanding recording engineer for the entirety of the session.

Nothing but warm welcomes, vibes, nerves through the roof and absolute heaters on this night. And this is one of them.
