Abe Sada - Tunguska Incident

This is the basis for Cat Hope's keynote at the National Forum for Experimental Art.
It is a series of 'audio notes' recorded direct to the latptop in the USA, Perth Canberra, Sydney and a few planes inbetween.
 It forms the basis for the keynote address at the 2015 NEAF in Perth, presented with the assistance of Chris Cobilis, Dobromila Jaskot, Catherine Ashley, Mark Cauvin and Dane Yates, with interference by Tim Burns and Mace Francis. 
It is not a document of the keynote, rather, the material used as the basis for its construction.

Candied Limbs - Kyoto

Wolf at Harp is a piece for four drum kits and a mobile graphic score. It is for one indie drummer, one jazz drummer, a heavy metal drummer and a classical percussionist. This recording was made of its premiere performance in Tasmania, early 2010.

This is a work for string quartet, four bass amplifiers and electronic processing. Here the strings are 'sampled' in millisecond increments a different moments on the score, their tone transposed very low and reproduced through the bass amplifier at moments on the score, dynamically shaped as scored. Whilst this recording is not a completely accurate rendition, it gives an idea of the piece - especially toward the end.

Cruel and Usual

A version of this piece for 4 bass clarinets, 4 bass amplifiers, recorded at Spectrum Project Space in May 2012. Performers are Ashley Smith, Chris Dragon, Lindsay Vickery and Philip Everall. Recorded by Malcolm Riddoch.

Liminum

Juanita Nielsen is a work for  2 violas, 2 cellos, piano and electric guitar.  The score is presented on 6 networked tablet computers, which at a point begin to select random points that are synchnronised amongst the ensemble. Juanita Nielsen was a woman active in Sydney in the 1970s, and whose disappearance was never investigated in a timely manner due to police corruption in Australia at that time. The performance is of its premiere, by the Decibel New Music Ensemble.
