Catnip Muffins is an occasional duo armed with guitar, ukulele, kalimba and tin whistle. Catnip Muffins met in Istanbul by accident in 2011 and then went their separate ways, until, accidentally as usual, they met again in 2014, still in Istanbul. Among the catpissed graffiti-coloured streets of Constantinople, under the bombardment of seagull excrements on the Bosphorus, to the sound of azan in twilight and against the backdrop of the city's endless rooftops, Catnip Muffins started playing music.

Catnip Muffins do not really perform live, except when they play on a sidewalk somewhere around the corner. Catnip Muffins will probably never have a proper album because they are constantly on the move and live in different countries.

That's what it's all about: coming and going, parting ways and meeting over and over again.
