This song came to me when sitting at the keyboard late one night around 2010. Most of the piano part was written that night, and the rest was written when I sat down to finally record this.

The guitar is actually a clean guitar tone on the Juno DS, ran through the Neural DSP Corey Wong amp sim VST.

This was written as a sort of bittersweet love song.

This song came about when I tried combining a loop I had made recently (the first part) with a song I wrote around about 2010-2012 (the second, more upbeat part).

The acoustic guitar is a sample on the Juno DS and originally I hated it. After trying (and failing) to replace I finally stuck with it and it is what it is.
Everything else came from the Juno as well. This is the first song I recorded for this album.

Time and Space

This song started as an FL Studio project around 2017. I originally did it all in the piano roll, inputting each note by hand. I had to recreate it by ear and from memory since I didn't have the original file anymore. The intro is cut from the original track.

The piano is Keyscape, the EP is the Reface CP, and the "guitar" is actually the Reface CP's clav with a bunch of effects on it. All the strings are from the Juno DS.

The track was inspired by waking up to a good day.

A.M.

Another song that started as a loop I made one night last year. It was originally a little faster and used all clean guitar sounds.

The name came from the fact that I was listening to a lot of indie rock/folk at the time and noticed that most of the lyrics of the songs are kinda depressing.

The EP is the Reface CP rhodes tone, playing octaves. I was trying to use it to capture that sound of certain indie bands that have a male and female singer.

Why Is It Always Sad Shit

I've been making music in various forms for about 20 years. In that time I've played in bands, made beats, and some EDM, but mostly written a lot of songs on the piano. I feel like it's finally time to start recording all of them so here they are, I hope you enjoy them.

I use a Juno DS88, Yamaha Reface CP and CS, and a lot of software. I also own an old Yamaha PortaSound PSS-140 (from 1988), a Casiotone 101 (1981), and a Casio Privia.
