Heading Home

Bygones

Tendrils down a broken window. Looking up through this, the rain hitting his face and washing away the blood and tears. Edmund was mesmerized by the sound His heart was racing with panic and joy if at all possible. The rain would wash away any traces of what led him to here.  The wolves would be a day away from here by any stretch. Dreaming now again, the pain and  fainting just to heal.

Wake UP Sleeping Ghost

Wash me off cleanse me clean. The acid will take off all mt dirt and guilty stains. I can't sleep. The silent pitter patter, stains the ground and kills the fish. The enjoyment of replenishing pollution and waste. The beauty of smog in my sky, rain through, brown snow. Oh how I love the rain.

Breathe

Edmund's mother would drive sometimes for days. Never going anywhere, just somewhere. Somewhere that wasn't there. Another burned out sign to a cheap motel; deep in the humid swamps of the bitter south. A time to stop and rest for a day, maybe two. This life inside her was wanting to see the world.
 Flames and retribution and shame, an archaic remnant to what wanted her to speak no more. Edmund was to be born that day in the swamps.  That day when the cicadas roared like a chorus through sweat and fire. The traveler was born at 3:33 pm

Throughout the devastation, a shimmer of light. The church always seemed so dark with the hanging moss shading all around. Edmund knew it was time to run  far away from this whirlwind. The night was warm and the symphony of insects and frogs echoed across the swamp.  The heartbeat rhythm of this was solace through the fear. With a small backpack and some vague calling from dreams that never stop, Edmund was finally getting away from the Hell on earth.

The days of humid continued as the new life struggled to live. Time was a whirlwind of nights and hiding. The songs of the ancients echoed in streams and cicadas. A place far from harm, safe in the bed of the forest.

The Thorn in Absolution

Night mists, dark green. The shadows seemed to pull the indigo night sky.  The road between home and here was lifetimes ago.  Edmund found the pace at night seemed to make further distance. The days where heavy with humidity and little clouds of brief relief.  The music inside was keeping time with insects; panning back and forth like wearing headphones.

Wishing Fountain

Edmund was scarred, riding to a biker bar somewhere in San Diego. He wasn't afraid moments ago riding down the highway on the back of a springer soft tail Harley.  "Don't be afraid silly, these guys won't hurt you, you're with me." Cassi spoke back to Edmund as they pulled up to classic rock pounding through the PA, and a sea of motorcycles.

Wishing the day away.
Tales to be told, and lives to behold.

Answers In Symmetry

The key of an angel had fallen through the storm, the lasting expressions on faces from places never known. A time folded through heart and so much sorrow. The pains of lasting wounds that seethe the psychic scars of space and reason.
 The church bells warbled between the trees as Edmund walked through the Bosque. An older chapel, one taken by flood many moons past; somehow restored and haunting the silence with sounds that must be soothing. Not this dawn, the bells ring for death and coming storms. The sacrifice of ages, Mountains and ocean cliffs collide. Time and understanding are bending to break a repetition. Bells fade into footsteps, distant dogs barking away the night cats of the city. Edmund felt that tug inside his heart again.

The Sorry Tale

There was a moment by the Chattahoochee, a time before the grand journey began. The air was thick with humid heat, Edmund knew this place under the moon. Mother oh mother where was it you took me to see the falling stars. In the distance up from the river: a rhythm and light.

 I have written new material, just need to record again. Having disabilities makes this struggle all the more difficult. I wish the best for all of us that create. I hope to continue this adventure that only started at the beginning of the lockdowns. Once we are settled I hope to share more of the world of Catpadwick. I do have a YouTube channel that is more personal and has some live performances and meditations. I need help understanding this new digital world.
 Thank you for the past few years.
My next pro is now over. Being on the verge of homelessness and having disabilities makes holding onto SoundCloud impossible at the moment. I'm loosing songs on this page. I will try a more affordable approach from here on out, as far as music production. In a world of baby shark; music has no place it seems anymore. Thanks again for your support the past three years and 56 songs later.
