Catrina Starr began her DJ career at small music events in Western Massachusetts and New York. Having received a full scholarship to Simon's Rock College of Bard at the age of 15, she was granted early admission and graduated by the age of 17. Eager to move to "The City", she headed to NYC the very next day and was soon after hired at Satellite Records. This marked a pivotal and very influential point in her life as a musician and DJ, and by the age of 18 she could be heard in some of the most representative and legendary clubs of the electronic music scene in New York City such as Limelight and Tunnel, other spots like Float, Groovejet, Lot 61, and Infrared Lounge. Later she became a regular Thursday act at Club Metropol in the Strip District of Pittsburgh before it closed its doors in 2003, and continued playing in Pittsburgh at Pulse, TUSP’s music and art event, Faded Fest, and Diesel Club Lounge. Catrina Starr is no stranger to the international music scene either, playing at the Motiva2 Music Festival in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, Spain and New CHIC, Plano B, and Club Pitch in Porto, Portugal. 

Under the collaboration, “Lyla & Magal”, Catrina Starr produced a progressive remix of Snap!’s “Rhythm is a Dancer”. The production received overwhelming support from renowned DJs Deep Dish, The Low End Specialists, John Debo, Victor Calderone, and Jonathan Peters. Now in Portugal, she has begun a new collaboration with world renowned DJ and Producer Mike Morales on a yet to be released album and other remix projects. Stay tuned.....
