I used a midi I found for the melody and decided to play around with it in my own way..

The original was apparently 200BPM!
I dropped it down to 195 =P

I have always wanted to finally remix my most favorite track from F-Zero
nothing beats the awesomeness of the first level, a true classic..

After adding finishing touches.. speeding it up to a decent speed
and a few other things I think I am finished with this =3
and before you ask YES I USED A MIDI FILE ;_;

Did you honestly think I could compose this by ear?
My old mix I did by ear but it came out shabby and I couldn't do the rest of the track =P

Everything is Produced in Fruity Loops Studio. 
I write my drum patterns, and my melodies, unless I specify otherwise.
