Born and raised in Lodz, Poland, Monika Spruch's journey to the opera stage is a testament to the power of dreams and unwavering determination. Lodz, renowned for its prestigious film school that counts Polanski and Zanussi among its alumni, provided a backdrop of artistic inspiration for Monika.

From a tender age, Monika's heart was set on the grand stage. Standing before her bedroom mirror, she'd lose herself in the melodies of opera, envisioning herself as the focal point of a mesmerized audience. This aspiration crystallized when she joined a choir, enchanting listeners across her homeland with her ethereal voice.

Upon her move to Hollywood, Monika expanded her repertoire, covering beloved songs by renowned artists and even crafting her own music video, "Radio," in 2010. This foray into popular music showcased her versatility, proving her voice to be a versatile instrument capable of navigating diverse musical landscapes.

In 2016, a triumphant return to her roots saw Monika deliver a spellbinding live performance at Radio Lodz. 

Today, based in Carmel, California, Monika continues her artistic journey under the expert guidance of vocal coach Robert Edwards. Known for mentoring icons like Christina Aguilera, Bonnie Raitt, and Sheryl Crow, Edwards provides Monika with invaluable insights and refinements. Additionally, she studies under the tutelage of esteemed operatic basso Louis Lebherz and renowned Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito, further honing her craft.

In 2019 she made a notable appearance in the production "DUSK," where esteemed movie score composer Mark Governor specially composed the operatic aria "Angel of Death" for her, followed by the enthralling "Angel of Liberty."

Monika's accolades include a standout performance in the highly regarded National Association of Teachers of Singing competition in San Francisco in 2019, where her extraordinary talent was met with well-deserved acclaim. The same year, she successfully completed the "Angels Vocal Art" summer workshop at CSULA, a beacon for aspiring opera singers.

In 2020, Monika achieved a significant milestone by securing a spot in the prestigious Manhattan Opera Studio, a renowned summer workshop in New York. Here, she collaborated with Roger Malouf, an Assistant Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera, an experience that elevated her artistry. Simultaneously, she graduated with distinction from the esteemed Respiro Opera NYC workshop, leaving an indelible mark with her rendition of "Song to the Moon" from Antonin Dvorak's opera "Rusalka."

The year 2022 saw Monika's exceptional talent acknowledged once again as she earned a coveted place in the esteemed operatic workshop "Bel Canto in Tuscany." Under the visionary leadership of Maestro Giovanni Reggioli and the guidance of Beatrice Benzi, a collaborative pianist at La Scala in Milan, Monika showcased her vocal prowess in three unforgettable concerts.

In 2023, Monika Spruch's career reached new heights as she performed at the Monterey Car Show Kick Off Party and opened an award show during the Prancing Ponies Fashion Show for Carmel Car Week. She also graced the 90th anniversary of Festa Italia in Monterey with captivating renditions of "O mio Babbino caro" and "Libiamo."

Monika showcased her versatility by performing at Cardinale Stadium for Monterey Bay FC in front of 4000 people and acted as the opening act for a Masquerade Ball fundraising event supporting the Seneca child adoption non-profit at the Club at Pasadera in Monterey with “La Wally” by Catalani.
These diverse performances underscored her ability to connect with various audiences and demonstrated her commitment to using her talent for meaningful causes.
