This is a monstrous world. Since time immemorial, great beasts have awakened and lain waste to the achievements of humanity. Their monstrous forms plagued our ancestors, waylayed those who so explored our world, and even now they tear through our cities of steel in order to feed their endless hunger for destruction. Over time however, we have learned to fight back. We have crafted labyrinthine underground networks dedicated to defeating them. We have pioneered numerous advances in the realms of science to allow us to go beyond ourselves, to face these monsters head on as we battle for our very survival. Yet for all of these trials we have overcome, for all of the great beasts we have slain, we have yet to face our greatest trial. Long buried within the world’s deepest depths, entombed under layer upon layer of time and age and passed over by century upon century, a behemoth unlike any other has slumbered for unknown millenia. This being was a Progenitor, the first of its kind to walk the lands of this world, and thus it is inexorably bound to it. Those who have stood against it before have never managed only to seal it once more within the depths from whence it came, and therein it has been gathering strength since. Thus, we now face our ultimate reckoning, one that could unmake the very world itself. The crumbling city stood like the bones of a decaying animal, falling to ruin in a silence amplified by the lack of ears nearby that might hear it. It was an oppressive quiet, broken only rarely by the falling of concrete or steel to the cracked asphalt below. Yet one day, a new cry uttered forth within that sonic emptiness. It was shrill yet powerful, and it rang out slowly as though painstakingly expunged from the throat of the beast that had emitted it. Its source, however, came only indirectly from the biology of those who caused it. For this was the cry of feet of steel, forced open and ground against its frame by the two lonesome souls who had lain within.

That first moment of sunlight was blinding to their eyes, even when filtered through the roiling green clouds that blanketed the sky and rained down debris onto the landscape. Day and night had ceased to mean anything within the pair’s holdout, and their emergence into the gloom of midday stood in stark opposition to the biological clocks that had regulated their bodies for so long. Even for all these banalities with which they were met, the pair knew that they could no longer find shelter in their subterranean home, their supplies exhausted by the indeterminate passage of time that had marched over them therein. No, now the pair knew that they must go forth, back into the world that had once been their own. For them, the only hope at life lay underneath that green glowing sky, somewhere in the vast unknown that lay beyond the BUNKER.

AGRESSOR BUNX emerge from their studio to deliver BUNKER, the first step in their journey into the lands of the ENSUING CATACLYSM that will imbue their sonic works in the months to come. Their first release on EATBRAIN since 2019’s Power Glow EP, AGRESSOR BUNX return to lead the label’s ravenous horde through the tumultuous landscape of the cataclysm to come, debuting BUNKER as the first step amidst its apocalyptic advance.

Causing unease, causing disquiet and causing some serious dancefloor damage, Cause4Concern are back to their invincible best, and those caught in their collective laser beams will never be quite the same again. Optiv (Deceased) & CZA have been an institution in drum & bass since their collective beginning back in 1999, and are in no way ready to give up on their plans of world domination just yet. 

From their London base, they have set about and conquered many different styles of drum & bass, be it on their own family of labels, or via such major players as Virus, Invisible, Quarantine, Playaz and many more. Their performances have graced all parts of the world, and have left crowds stunned and begging for more. Their artistry, versatility and quality are all hallmarks of their dedication to the scene, stretching back some 20 years. 

Since the very start, C4C have been widely respected, no matter what they have turned their hands to. Their first release was on the mighty Moving Shadow, and it wasn’t long until they put their creative heads together, and started their own seminal imprint. That label, C4C Recordings, has seen releases and remixes from some amazing artists, including Audio, Prolix, Black Sun Empire, Mindscape, Teebee, Gydra, Matrix, IHR and more, and, as artists themselves. One of their finest moments came with the issue of the Pandemic album in 2008, further cementing their reputation for awe-inspiring, high quality music. 

C4C’s sound is a story of contrasts. From the light to the dark, but deeper, and deeper still, they blend the seemingly simple with the highly intricate. Crystalline drums mix with warming, liquid bass notes. C4C are, and have never been, about any one thing, but add elements to their palette which are least expected. Their music shines with brilliance, being sharply original and experimental at all times. Deep, nearly spiritual grooves mix easily with a nose for the dancefloor. You have to listen to fully understand. 

C4C stand as warriors in an ever-changing scene. Their importance has never been more apparent than now, as they reaffirm their passion and integrity with new music and increased touring activity. They represent something pure, something unsullied in their approach to music making, with each member adding their own style to compliment the others’. 

2019 is seeing renewed activity right across the C4C spectrum. With a whole host of upcoming releases from themselves as well as brand-new material from respected artists In the scene, they continue to shape the drum & bass world with regular live and radio appearances. 
Cause4Concern continue to be one of the most exciting names in drum & bass.
