Generic Experiments [Rough Instrumental Mix]

Something I might use for a joke band which bases lyrics around the My Little Pony series. DISCLAIMER: I do not watch MLP and don't plan to.

This is currently just a mash of riffs I recorded in my room a couple of weeks back without much regard for accuracy. I just record stuff I think might sound cool then focus on perfecting it at a later date.

Ode to Twilight Sparkle

Recorded in one take which is why there are so many mistakes on the recording (also I forgot to detune the G string as I came up with this while practising Strapping Young Lad songs). Something which might turn into a future Eight Days From Sunday. Might have to change it around though as it does remind me a lot of the works of Feed The Rhino (if you're not familiar with them CHECK THEM OUT NOW).

Feed The Rhino Ripoff

Very brief idea that came to me, strangely enough, while practising Rammstein and Chimaira songs. Yet this thing just reminded me of Terria era Devin Townsend so I figured I'd quickly record it before I forgot it, and see if I can come up with something at a later date. I'm not sure whether I'll keep it as is (electric guitar) or switch to an acoustic rendition - which would also save having to record bass and drums with it.

Terria-fic

This song's something I'm working on for one of my projects, The Death Of Music. The music was all done by our lead guitarist Ozzie with a friend of his before The Death Of Music formed but with uni and school and stuff we haven't had much opportunity to write properly - we have ideas and riffs and structures scattered around but nothing concrete recorded so we're resorting to recycling old unreleased stuff from other projects to have some material done. I've been writing lyrics for about two months for this song but have got about half way through something which I do sort of like before getting completely stuck. I'm hoping to finish off the lyrics in the near future so I can lay down the vocals and finally release this song properly.

Something I jammed out on the spot while recording. Can't think of a name for it so Improv Riff will have to do.

This one's called Technology's A Bitch cos while recording my mic suddenly decided to stop working and I can't get it going again so have to do with this unfinished and very rough piece.

I haven't recorded anything new in a while so made a quick jam. Got bored towards the end so to wrap up played Engine No. 9 by Deftones. Badly.

Random ideas I jam out. Don't expect much of it to be any good.
