CS SELECTS • 2015 Mixtapes

French tastemakers Kitsuné​ are about to launch an exciting new project to help you discover new music and new art every week. Beginning today, the record label/fashion label/club night will be launching a brand new free weekly service on YouTube called. Hosted on their own YouTube channel as well as services like Apple Music, Deezer and Spotify, the service will broadcast 10 new music acts within the worlds of indie, pop and electronica as well as 10 new illustrations by contemporary artists. Kicking off the series today will be animation duo Mrzyk & Moriceau, who made videos for Sébastien Tellier's "Look" and "Don't Be Light" for Air, as well as designing the logo of Kitsuné Hot Stream.

To mark the launch, Kitsuné have drafted in South East London's Danglo, who contributed "The Morning" to the new Kitsuné Maison 17 compilation,​ to put together an eclectic mix of club tracks that showcase the different sounds and styles you'll be hearing on Kitsuné Hot Stream over the coming weeks and months. Take a listen to the mix below and then make sure you check out Danglo at the Kitsuné and Roche Musique party in London on November 28.

When a label with a reputation like Kitsuné are backing a new artist, we tend to listen. Hence, when they asked us if we wanted an exclusive mix from bright, young spark Danglo, we took a listen and snapped it right up!

Hailing from the conveyor belt of talent that is South East London, the bass loving newcomer has seen his stock soar over the past year, serving up a number of dance floor slaying reworks with the likes of Maribou State and Say Lou Lou seeking out his services as a remixer.

Currently celebrating his debut Kitsuné EP - three varied but consistently uplifting tracks - the future looks a bright one for Danglo.

'Spotlight' showcases his penchant for bouncy, 90s garage-influenced numbers, whilst 'Drifter - featuring Estonian songstress Liisi Koikson - with its hypnotic bass shines a light on his deeper side before 'Forget You' rounds out the record with offers summer vibes, pounding drums and an infectious steel drum hook!
