Gamine strikes back with the fourth release, this time by Signal Corps, a duo consisting of Tom Butcher and Mike Perkowitz. Stepping between the nicer side of electro and punchy new beat, this solid five-tracker is a serious tool for dancefloors and afterhours. Groovy rhythmic arps and beautiful acidic melodies are combined to produce the perfect blend between old-school flavour and contemporary effectiveness.

Markus Sommer and his top-class Pager Records imprint are both well known for their high-energy releases. From the supercharged grooves of Markus’ ‘Active Feel’ to Porco Rosso’s ‘Keine Worries In Den Hollies’ all Pager Records always have that certain funk that is hard to put into words, it’s so just different to a lot of house and techno out there.

For the twelfth edition Markus has something a bit deeper in store, those funk AF basslines are still in full effect but the peak time vibes have been dialled down a bit. Dawn Razor and Archetech, two friends and two-thirds of the once-active trio Sonnen Blumen Kerne, have collaborated to deliver an album of tracks previously released exclusively on vinyl through Dawn Razor’s NARA Records. When Lobster Theremin ceased operations, the stock of these releases was lost, leaving only brief preview snippets online.

Adam approached HOMAGE with the story and shared the tunes with us. Moved by the situation, we decided to release all of the tracks as a retrospective album. Thus, 'Half Life' was born—a collection of 10 tracks that blur the boundaries between slammin' electro, breakbeat, and mutated bass, all with a minimalist edge.

'Half Life' will be available to stream and download from May 17th, 2024.

Our latest transmission brings two fast-rising producers into the spotlight for a split EP that continues our exploration of stripped-down, psyched-out house and techno. 

Ish takes up the A-side with two diverse offerings. 
“Psychedelic Rocks” is a taut techno workout with a mean acidic bassline for the peak of the night, while “Terrae” takes a groovier diversion into subtle delayed melodies, swinging drums and rubbery bass. 

Cobert brings a chunky New York flavour to “Tyulia Dgomas”, placing the emphasis on the low end and twisting all kinds of surreal FX out over the top of the heavyweight rhythm section. “Marineplex” switches things up with an aqueous dive into liquid pads and bubbling detail while maintaining that punchy sound now synonymous with Partisan.

A1. Antoine Sy delivers a reggae infused house groover to make you aware about the need to save the forests!

A2. "Imagine a beautiful lady acting like a robot in a super green garden under a glittering sun. She is clicking her arms and legs according to a simple 2-steppy texture and she is occasionaly singing nothing understandable except for a surfer-like interjection. Short-release synths and ethereal pads complete the picture adding some kind of nostalgic vibes to it. Yoyoyo!"

A3. Pohl strikes back with a moody a brilliant track on his own imprint Ovnie. „Traveling....“ has all the incredients to make you shake even at your home-office. A curly simple lead melody, a heavy old-school Bassline, crispy jacking drums and ascendant synth strings that colide with pealing LFO’ish addicting bleeps to a perfect dance track. 

B1. Samuel delivers a more funky breakbeat vision with acid zaps, bleeping tones and reverse percussions to keep the pace up and down a sure track to keep the dancefloor jacking.

B2. Test tube is one of many unreleased collabs by Luks & Kizoku. The moodiest one of the bunch, it is driven by breaky percussion, resonant basslines and lush keys.
