Good Advice, No. 48-52 is an excerpt from a sound art piece in which hundreds of people submitted pieces of advice to the artist. The recorded responses were then arranged in order and played out as they would have been given by the person telling them.
The sound art piece was created by Caspar Below in 2003 in Bristol, and features experiences, jokes, fears and life lessons from children, young people and adults.

Earlier this year I collaborated with artist Parvathi Nayar in Chennai, India and produced a sound track for her video Of Time and Space. The video is on show at the Veda Gallery in Chennai until September 2015.

For this last challenge I unleashed the awesome bugle bike upon London traffic. Sounding out both a signal of attack and a warning of hazards ahead, the bugle fog horn served as a practical response to the car noise monopoly.

Caspar Below is an artist experimenting with our relationships to communities, technology and power. In his sound piece he often collaborates with other artists under the Concrete Mass pseudonym.

Previous projects have involved audiences in re-enacting crowd control, finding new parent memories for orphaned family photos and answering a multitude of inquiries via text message as the SMS Oracle.

He set up pirate radio broadcasts in a Northern Irish village and used secret filming to map the no-go  aura  of governmental buildings by stepping into its sensitive zones. More recently he collected bad advice and disposed of it in a series of cleansing rituals as well as running workshops training South Londoners in DIY techniques of urban mass evacuation.
