"After having various results with mastering companies over the years, I stumbled across Henry's advert that offered free mastering of a track. I uploaded what I considered to be the most challenging song to be mastered from our album & waited to hear the results. After a few days the sound bite of the song was back & sounding amazing ! Needless to say that the job of mastering the album was entrusted to Henry. When the mastered tracks first came back I sat down with a pad & pen ready to write down a snagging list for the songs ! At the end of the album I had written nothing down ! The album sounds fantastic. It has been mastered with great care & attention. The tracks are nice & loud without being over the top, they have been compressed with great care & haven't lost any of their dynamics. There were about three companies in the running, and each of them did a sample master with one of my album tracks. Here's a bit of Bio stuff...

For the last 20 years or so I was co-owner and director of Sounds Good, which started out as a cassette duplication company manufacturing for bands, artists and some major independent labels, including chart hits for Oasis, The Smiths, The Sundays, The Levellers, Carter USM, Edwyn Collins, Elastica, KLF, Divine Comedy, The Orb, etc.

I got involved in CD manufacturing back in 1992, when we started to offer it as a service to our customers. The following year, 1993, we pioneered the concept of low-cost, but high quality, CD Mastering when we bought one of the first SADiE digital editing systems.

Since then I've mastered hundreds of CDs, experienced and enjoyed heaps of different types of music, upgraded the gear, and had a great time.

Now I've gone solo, I can concentrate on the things I like doing best - working with musicians on mastering their projects through to CD or download.
