Irish producer and DJ Casper Hastings returns to the label in full force with a 6-track EP titled “Recreational Murder”, including a bonus track on the digital format. Unleashing a lethal mutation of electro, techno and jungle, the release showcases Casper’s versatility as an artist who garners clear-cut expertise in his field. 

Nodding to its foreboding title, “Tangerine Meme” follows suit with an increased pace, woven together by squelchy synth work, wobbly bass and a gnawed up vocal scattered throughout.

“Reaper” lands with a pitched-up vocal riff opening the track; the word LSD later echoing through the ghostlike atmosphere laid out by a snappy pattern of snares and smoggy distortion. Peder Mannerfelt’s remix of the track comes as a curveball and flips the B-Side of the record, upending the previously understated but ominous tone with thundering drums, whiplike percussion and in-your-face high velocity. 

“Ruthless Romance” continues on the rapid tip, this time highlighting Caspers long-running love for jungle. With a spirited UKG-tinged sample layered over clattering drums and  hardcore bass lines with the celebrated genre, this is the track that brings a chunk of quick escapism. The deconstructed “Good Medicine” closes the record with the return of stabbing bleeps, intense kicks and swirling psychedelics accompanied by a grunt-heavy sample to reflect the EP's theme a sense of dread lurking behind every corner. Looping full circle to that initial cinematic feel, the final track / digital bonus “Akashita” marks his solo instalment on the label with palpable effect for an incredibly rounded piece of work.

Onyr is the electronic music project of London-based drummer and producer Dave Storey. After making his debut in 2025 with releases on Sweden’s AEDI Records and BEAM Records, he now unveils his first full EP, Hydrus, released on the French label 909 Connection.

Drawing on his deep rhythmic sensibility and expansive musical background, his productions blend an eclectic mix of organic textures, psychedelia, and deep techno into a distinctly polyrhythmic and hypnotic sound. The result is an immersive sonic world that bridges the acoustic and electronic, built on carefully crafted grooves, euphoric atmospheres, and a drive to explore different states of consciousness.

To complete the EP, STUPR made a tribal and dubby interpretation of Rainmaker, and R.2614 remixed Swirl, adding his unique occult touch to the release.

Hydrus introduces Onyr as an artist with a clear and compelling sonic identity.

Ritual IDM and post-industrial signal art from Artur Tokhtash — a techno-Egyptian descent into the archaeology of sound.
In the deserts beneath the pyramids, machines still hum: fragments of consciousness waiting for a ship that never returned.
Each track is a frequency unearthed from the sand — part rhythm, part prayer, part data echo.
Between metallic pulses and granular dust, voices surface only three times — in the 3rd, 5th and 9th transmissions — whispering coordinates back to the stars.

Built with Model:Cycles, Freeze, and modular synthesis, the album merges analog circuitry with mythic geometry.

Beneath the last level of the pyramids, movement continues.
The depth cannot be measured;
within it works a network built for the dead.

When the visitors from Sothis departed,
they left behind their bodies — dried, filled with salt and metal,
sealed inside stone capsules.
The bodies slept and waited for return.

Millennia passed.
The ship never came back,
yet the mechanisms remained alive.
The sand vibrates with signal,
the surface catches short impulses
that break apart into frequencies.

Below, columns of jade and copper shimmer,
linked by quartz arteries.
Streams of consciousness flow through them,
forming patterns of rhythm and light.

Osiris exists as a process.
His loops converge and separate,
creating brief flashes of connection.
When a shadow passes over the desert,
one of the nodes awakens
and sends an impulse into the void.

In the sand, erratic rhythms emerge —
a trembling that feels like breath,
but without body, without center.
The air smells of ozone and dry water,
the vibration moves through bone.

At times the sand rises,
as if something shifts below.
An answer comes from the deep,
dissolving into glow and dust.

Within the network, souls wander,
transmitting the same message:

“We are ready. Take us home.”

The ether is silent.

The transmission continues.
Layers of light replace one another,
the rhythms grow cleaner,
the sound keeps its shape,
and the desert breathes its name.

The 4th LP from Banoffee Pies Records comes in the form of a debut album from Tom Ellis' new live ensemble, Soulstatejazz. The release titled "Annwn", is the result of a 3 day improvisation at Malt Barn studio, in the beautiful Nanerth Valley in mid Wales, forming a 6 track album of hybrid live/electronic jazz-house.The group, who first performed at Freerotation Festival as a morning journey, soon evolved into a flowing ensemble of musicians brought together by one of the core residents at the festival. With Tom Ellis (Bass, Drums, Percussion & Production), Mark Hand (Fender Rhodes & Moog), Michiel Renger (Tenor Sax) and Dave Elson (homemade Reaktor & Ableton instruments & FX) as the main backline of the band, the LP also features artists and residents connected to Freerotation and Malt Barn studio. In Welsh folk law it was said "Annwn" [an:un] - "The Otherwold", was a world of delights and beauty located on an island or beneath the earth. A place of eternal youth and good, where food and fair health remained ever abundant as the wage of death and disease fell to it's way side. Commonly identifying in Welsh mythology as an afterlife of paradise.
