This is a preview of a remix i did for Iori's Eyes, one of the most capable young bands in italy, which i felt like supporting with my take on their last single: Matter of time. It is going to be a free release from them directly most probably in the next few days, i'll keep you updated :-)

Finally! this is a remix i did for Munk's "Rue de Rome", from his newly released album "The Bird and the Beat". It was in standby now for a year or so, waiting for the album to come out... but i've been always playing it at my live shows... so you might have heard it.  i'm glad it finally saw the light, it definitely does its thing!

Thieves Like Us - Forget Me Not (Cécile small town girl Remix)

This is a track i've done for a Red Bull Music Academy workshop in Rome. The theme was the great music scene that the roman movie industry sparked in the sixties in Italy. I was given a selection of great music from soundtracks and libraries and i had to make a track using some elements from them. I used a little synth loop from Morricone's Robodog and the fantastic woodwinds of Umiliani's Gassman's Blues. I just added salt n peppa &amp; magic spices.

Sweetness 86

So this is another remix i did for May68, out of Manchester UK. When i heard the original i thought it sounded happy and playful: nothing like the title would suggest. so i decided to make it pretty dark and gloomy like a prison cell, with tom fills that sound like a metal cup banging on the metal prison bars. Of course though, i couldn't help but adding some pretty radical mood shifts in which the prisoner "spaces out" and imagines his/her life out of the prison. But this was just my trip...! It's going to be out on kitsuné next monday, Oct 11th, vinyl and digital.
