Akbal Music Editions is a new sub-label of Akbal Music focusing on quality electronic music with no boundaries. Curated by Robbie Akbal, the label will showcase a diverse range of music styles.

The debut release from the new label, Las Coloradas, is a collaborative project featuring Kora, Robbie Akbal, and Alice Rose. Recorded across multiple locations, including Montreal and Koh Phangan, Thailand, the project captures a unique blend of creativity. Robbie Akbal explored Alice Rose's vocals and violin during sessions on the island, elevating her artistry to new heights. Later, in Montreal, Robbie teamed up with Kora for a series of vibrant studio sessions, merging Kora's groove and soulful musical expression with Robbie's vision, resulting in a truly magical piece of music.

*Las Coloradas* is a captivating sonic journey, blending tight organic rhythms, earthy tones, hypnotic synths, and warm violin melodies. The production radiates a magical bliss, evoking both melancholic and uplifting emotions—bringing a sense of love and light to the dance floor, which has grown darker and more intense in the post-COVID era. May these sounds bring a sense of peace and harmony into your life.

Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas, sets sail on its tenth annual Summer Sol compilation, which collects together tracks from around the world. Focusing on organic house, it also features genres such as Afro house, deep house, downtempo, and deep tech.

It features 25 tracks that have roots in 17 different countries, and includes contributions from label favourites such as Sabo, Yamil, Mula, Giovanni Aparicio, Guy Maayan, Adwas, and DJ Phellix. There are also many Sol Selectas debuts, including the first ever official releases by the likes of Rameff, Matur, DBRA, and Basement Radio.

The compilation celebrates the day of the summer solstice, which is the year's longest day of sunlight. Embracing cultural diversity, it features tracks by artists with roots in Egypt, Iran, Tunisia, Greece, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Poland, Indonesia, France, Germany, Israel, and Argentina.

Summer Sol's concept reminds us that under the sun's rays we are all equal, regardless of skin colour, gender, political allegiances or sexuality. This release is a celebration of how music brings people together, and that diversity is something to embrace with open arms.

Each of the tracks on this compilation have been hand selected by Sabo with the intention to uplift the body, open the mind, and touch the soul.

In addition to working with Sol Selectas, many of the artists on this release have also featured on other respected record labels such as MoBlack Records, Monaberry, Pipe & Pochet, Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas, Abracadabra Music, Cosmic Awakenings, 3000 Grad Records, Akbal Music, and many others of equal note.

All the previous Summer Sol releases have been top sellers on Beatport, and this landmark tenth edition is expected to be no different.

The artwork by Helia Jamali captures a desert oasis shimmering with warmth and wonder. A perfect invitation to dive into the waters of positive frequencies.

El Naddaha feat. DerWish - Kol Le Man Yafhamo [Sol Selectas]

Milk & Honey suggests abundance, but also the longing for it. It traces the quiet aftershock of feeling, when softness meets weight, when sweetness carries memory. There is comfort here, but it arrives layered and uncertain.
On the title track, that complexity comes into focus through Enya’s beautiful vocal performance. Her instrument-like intonation holds the tension with grace, drifting through the piece like light slipping through fractured glass: fragmented, luminous, intimate. The result is not resolution, but resonance, a moment suspended between healing and remembering.

Premiere: Alles Ablenkung - Milk & Honey (feat. Enya) (Original Mix)

Originaire de Nantes, Cécile Gravot est harpiste. Après l'obtention d'une médaille d'or du conservatoire de Nantes en 1995, elle se tourne vers les musiques actuelles. Elle est embarquée en 2005 par la troupe du théâtre des Cerises, où elle co-compose et joue dans ses opéras déjantés jusqu'en 2011. En 2013 elle intègre le projet folk d'Alexandra Guillot:"After the Bees". sélection jeunes charrues  PdL 2013, la formation devient un duo et est auditionné pour le chantier des francos 2014, le chaînon manquant 2015, et emporte le prix mécènes pour la musique SNCF 2016 pour son projet Let's Rise!.  En parallèle Cécile Gravot développe son projet "Les actes Romantiques", pièces musicales chorégraphiées dans des scénographies urbaines et naturelles, à mi-chemin entre performance et ballet "coup de poing". Depuis 2019 elle développe un projet de solo pour harpe(s), qui a notamment fait l'objet d'une création en 2020 dans les marais salants de Guérande avec"La Lune Noire" (dans le cadre du festival Salé Perché de Delphine Coutant). Aujourd'hui ce solo est joué sur une grande harpe électrique, une électro harpe et une boîte à rythmes.
