The renowned multifaceted artist went on a sonic journey around the world to connect with some of the most exciting music scenes our there, meeting and collaborating with a new generation of artists to create his debut solo album ‘Atlas’ (out on September 4th and available now for pre-order on iTunes). After giving listeners a first taste of his exciting new work with Eventually and Let Me Go (feat. Nonku Phiri & Mr. Carmack), the globetrotting producer now invites you to listen to new album cut Take Off (feat. Princess Nokia).

This collaboration has been on Branko’s mind ever since he heard Princess Nokia’s debut mixtape ‘Metallic Butterfly.’ He was captivated by the young NYC rapper’s truly global personality and ability to effortlessly jump between genres, something which according to Branko, “is pretty uncommon these days, especially coming from someone who has something to say.” With leftover baile funk loops playing in his head from his week in São Paulo, Branko came up with the perfect instrumental for Princess Nokia’s liquid flow in the form of a spacey and futuristic baile funk beat. When the pair finally met at the Red Bull Studios in New York and all these ideas came together, a modern rap anthem for the internet age was born.
