i know i’m friends with the trees
they peer out my through the windows
silently staring back at me 
i want to root myself deep in the ground
i want my arms grow strong, bear fruit, be home to the bees
let my blood turn to sap and my fingers into leaves

i want to go back
let me return to the ground in the ashes of the earth
my bones are just carbon
or star dust
i can stand my sentient form
let me return to the place where i was born

i can’t see the lines they’re blurred
i say i do my best without my sight
when im hurt the most
spread my ashes when i die
don’t let me be enslaved to this form
particles separate

i want to go back
let me return to the ground in the ashes of the earth
my bones are just carbon
or star dust
i cant stand this  sentient form
let me return to the place i was born
