Having been a longstanding fan of Grauzone and Stephan Eicher's early solo work, Headman/ Robi Insinna was originaly asked to remix a track a few years back.
The idea of doing a Reworks 12“ on Relish came later and the choice fell on „Nice". Which will also be part of the Reworks album coming next year.

Headman then enlisted the help of New York City’s Justin Strauss who played "Eisbaer" by Grauzone when he got his first copy after he just started his first DJ job at legendary Mudd Club, who set to add his touch to "Le Files du Limmatquai" along with his partner Bryan Mette under the (Whatever/Whatever Remix) Moniker.

The Cover of the release is a take on the original artwork from the “Nice“ 12“ US mixes Vinyl from 83', which is by Klaudia Schifferle from Swiss all girl punk band Kleenex, who had written and performed „Nice" originally.

The result is a classic sound with a smooth modern edge.

It seems there is space for another anonymous artist in the world of Man Power. After a limited release on Too Many Squares last year, the mysterious (or alias) Frank Butters releases 'Cult Of Glamour' on Me Me Me. This cut gets the "swamp disco" treatment from Andrew Weatherall. Siren-styled lasers fire out from a solid live drum rhythm as arpeggiated and delayed synths bicker with each other. Breathy male vox just peek in, from round some corner in the mix, in the shade. It all falls in on itself, then recharges somewhere between the floor toms and cymbals, making it right and rather majestic.

Cititrax is excited to present the third in a series of four song samplers showcasing the talents of some of the most innovative producers of the moment. Cititrax: Tracks Volume Three features the a powerful new collaboration between Amato (aka The Hacker) and Mariana Saldana (ex-Medio Mutante, Boan), the brutal industrial techno of Barcelona based British producer The Sixteen Steps, a Polish mastermind based in Miami known as His Dirty Secrets, and the NYC underground duo Further Reductions (Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose). The overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. Each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. 
Artwork designed by Veronica Vasicka and sourced from Polaroids shot in NYC clubs in the 1980s, Cititrax: Tracks Volume Three is pressed on blood red clear vinyl – limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve.
