Hailing from the Blue Mountains and Port Macquarie, Candy Oh and Andrew Deasey are Cee Dee Stone.

Meeting through a mutual friend, they quickly discovered themselves a musical match - with Deasey writing intricate, open-tuned riffs on the daily, and Candy's self-taught melodies and lyrics fitting the bill perfectly.

From June - Sept 2024, they wrote 9 songs for their first album, Ugly Skin, and began recording at Everland Studios in October with sound producer Ben Worsey.

In the studio they collaborated with strings maestro Marcus Holden (Fiddlers Feast), Double Bass extraordinare Steve Elphick and OG groover, Drummer Bruce Stephens.

What they have created has been described as a lush soundscape of raw, vulnerable, REAL music. Layered soaring vocals and sophisticated instrumentation - some have reminisced on the likes of Kate Bush and Dan Fogelburg. 

On the journey of Ugly Skin, Candy and Deasey say "it has been a great learning curve, growing in our style and confidence, and we already have the next bunch of new songs underway for a follow up album. We truly hope you love listening to the songs, as much we loved writing them!"
