This Hommega episode presents an exclusive DJ mix created by Artifex, which includes some of his unreleased tracks and also his latest release at Hommega - 'Secrets of the the Universe'. Artifex (Yarin Ilovich) is an educated producer with a rich experience as a DJ in several music genres. After a trip to Ozora festival a few years ago, he made the obvious decision to focus only on Psy-trance music. Since 2020, Yarin released his few debut tracks under the name Artifex, and from the first moment, his music sounded like the work of an experienced full-on artist. Artifex had a busy year in the Israeli post-lockdown party wave, swiping almost every possible dancefloor with his energetic performance, and magnetising a loving audience that follows him to every party. After the release of his new EP 'Secrets of the Universe' on Hommega Productions, Artifex joined the roster of the legendary label.

ARTIFEX | HOMmega Series Ep. 10 | 19/03/2022

HALLUCINOGEN is Simon Posford’s solo project, he is also in the popular bands SHPONGLE and YOUNGER BROTHER.  His Track SHAMANIX was initially released on TIP Record’s compilation YELLOW, the first edition of the Shiva series, back in Dec 1994.  It would set dancefloors alight with it’s explosive tribal, acid groove and became an instant hit and a seminal track in the Goatrance genre. 

In October 1995, Shamanix featured on Hallucinogen’s groundbreaking first album called TWISTED on YOUTH’s record label DRAGONFLY where Simon had been working as the in-house engineer.

Fast forward to 2022 >>> DOMESTIC and SPACECAT have remixed this classic and brought it a new shine with their modern production, but whilst carefully keeping the vibe and style of the original.  This has produced a monster of a remix that has been reigniting dancefloors much in the same way it did 28 years ago!  We at TIP are immensely proud to have released the original and now this fantastic remix.

On our way to the next edition of OZORA, Indian producer StarLab is joining us to talk about some of the key milestones in his musical journey so far, the scene in India and all that is cooking in his audio laboratory. Topped with a special mix of course.

StarLab is a project initialised by Bharat from New Delhi, India.Training in Indian Classical Music laid the musical foundations for Bharatat a very early age, earning a Music Diploma at the age of 10. Over theyears, as a self taught Bass & Guitar player he gathered a wealth ofexperience touring andrecording with his band for over a decade until heencountered the hypnotic sound of Psychedelic Trance Music at a beachparty in Goa, India. This strongly affected his musical persona after whichhe began to teach himself synthesis & music production andprojectStarLab was born.In 2011 he went toSan FranciscoUSA to study music and quickly became apopular DJ in the West Coast scene, gaining a lot of experienceplayingmany local parties &festivalsand learningmusicproduction.
