did i leave the house without my keys?
forget to pay the electricity?
now i’m running late to work but if i’m running any faster, i might trip

they’ve got fast cars on this road
did i turn off the stove? did i keep the windows closed?
did i tell them that i loved them when we last were on the phone?

i know, i know, i’ve checked it twice
i apologize
but i’ve got worries like a tap flooding through my mind
these worries run my life
they keep me occupied
and when i knock on wood i worry that i’ll catch some kind of plague

i’m going crazy
you don’t have to save me.
