The C.B.G. is one of the most exciting and adventurous bands from Amsterdam. This powerful group moves beautifully between the composed and improvised parts. Their music blends many different styles, traveling throughout improvised music, rock, jazz, folk, and contemporary music; outlining a truly new postmodern jazzstyle.
Guillermo Celano and Marcos Baggiani are two outstanding musicians from the eclectic Amsterdam’s jazz scene, where they met in 2001.
Their musical partnership is a story of constant artistic evolution, jumping from composed ideas to improvisational structures across different music styles and different instrumentation.
Both with a Master degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, they are at the forefront of the new generation of improvisers from this city.
Now a days playing with Michael Moore and Gorka Benitez on reeds and Sven Schuster on bass, this band has been also the home of many great artists such us: Natalio Sued, Rodrigo Rijers, Tomás Merlo, Paco Weth, Marcel Kroenker, Florien Hamer, Hernan Merlo, Rodrigo Dominguez.
They have toured around Europe and South America, and their music has been heard in podiums such us Bimhuis (Amstedam), Jamboree (Barcelona), Porgy &amp; Bess (Vienna), Lantaren Vester (Rotterdam), Notorious (Buenos Aires) and festivals like JazzFest Bochum, Hot House 40 years Fest., Trytone Fest., among others.
